Looking to have some irrigation lines caped off. Installing a pool, want to make sure the lines are done correctly. Have checked a few of the "big" companies around. Way to much to check a few lines. Just trying to get a few recommendations

Your pool company should be doing this for you as part of the build. If not, I'd be wary. That being said, MiCo does irrigation work. Also, if you mean capping off lines that are going to be under where the pool or pad will be, this is a bad idea. Any such lines should be rerouted and not capped under a pool or deck.

I have used Jim Baumgardner a few times, and he is quite good and very reasonably priced. I agree with the above comment, this should have been included in the pool project.

Some reputable pool builders do not include the irrigation lines in their bid. There is no "should include" regarding conditions such as irrigation, sod, landscaping, gas hookup, birdcage, warranty, etc. It is whatever is in the bid. The customer has to read their contract and determine what they want included versus price.

The Pool builder will cap the lines that they have to dig out. But I want to make sure they are capped correctly. All line will come out under pool and deck. But I want to make sure and cap them before they dig.
Very good Pool company doing the pool. But I want to be ahead of the game. I have landscape curb all around the house, so I have to move all the rock and pull up the curb. Cap off the lines to the back yard zone 3, and be done with it. re hook up when they are done. |

If you want to permanently remove a zone, I'd do it from the controller.
You wouldn't want a failed cap to allow water to run under your pool or deck undermining them. |

Does "Way too much" mean that you don't want to pay the price to get it done right? Wouldn't it be rather insignificant compared to the price of the new pool?

For Example, the company without saying names, that installed the system, wants 150.00 just to come to the house and look. Heck they installed it, you already know. Been around here to long for that. There are alot of cats around here that will do a reputable job with out taking both arms and couple toes. Has nothing with getting the job done right. Just because you charge alot of money does not mean you do a great job. |
