I have a courtyard villa. A few months ago, I asked a guy doing work nearby if he wanted to make a few extra bucks and trim my bushes. This is about a 20 minute job. He said he would do it for 100 dollars. I told him to forget it and I did it myself. This seems to be a project that you cannot get done for a fair price. I would like to find someone to do the work, but 100 dollars for 20 minutes is outrageous. I would really like to know how much you are paying, and it should not depend on the number of bushes, especially in a courtyard villa. I only pay 40 dollars a month to cut the grass and they do it 4 times.

We use Green Touch, they mow, have walk behind if you would like. I had 8 big shrubs dug up, 4 palms trimmed. And 21 scrubs trimmed. Cleaned up everything. Three guys 3 hours. $150.

Sorry, but this does not address the issue. The question is, if you have a courtyard villa and all you want done is to have your bushes trimmed, which is a 20-30 minute job for one person, who can you call to have it done? I cannot find someone to do it, so I need to do it myself. I offered to pay someone who was already working in the area, and he wanted 100 dollars, which was way more than the job was worth. I would gladly pay about 40 dollars for this 20 minute job, but there doesn't seem to be anyone who wants to do it. The shrubs only need to be trimmed about every 4 or 5 months.

I use Brenda Best to maintain my shrubs. Good, honest, hard-working people. Ask her if she can help you out.

This is my post in the aftermath of hurricane Irma that will give you the contact number.

I have used Choice Maintenance for 3 years. They are clean and neat. Charge $80 for my small designer with standard landscaping.

It gives you a company that does trimming, for each home would be different cost. I don’t think anyone here can tell you what company will come for $40. If it’s only 20 minutes every quarter I would do it myself.

Our lawn guys trim at our other houses for $12 when the bushes need it.

Thanks, but the guys who cut my grass will not trim the shrubs. So, yes, I need to do it myself. I have lived here for 2 years, I don't want to do any yard work, but trimming the shrubs seems to be a task that is just not readily available.

Smitty lawn & tree is full service landscaping. They will do as much or as little as you need. On time, great work ethic, good prices. 352-561-1999

A 20 minute job is at your house. The person has to drive there, put gas in his truck, put gas in his trimming tools (unless it is manual). Has expense for health care, insurances etc. if he is a responsible person. If he isn't, then you 40 buck estimate is probably a good number.

I understand. But, I only pay $40 per month to have my grass cut, and they come out every week, so that is 4 trips to my house every month for $40. And, they are responsible people. But, they won't trim the shrubs. Go figure.

Thanks, I may call the next time I need it, but it only needs to be done about every 4 months.
