Default Favorite Furniture Store?

Looking for upholstered living room furniture. Any suggestions on furniture stores, including who to avoid, welcome.

Babette's.

Purchased a number of times from them.

Delivery services were always spot on.

Worked with Tim each time........he is the manager now.

Good Luck.

Me too. I think I want a Fuchsia Velvet couch and love seat and two White Queen Anne chairs. So far I have looked around on line to get some prices. We have purchased from Babbettes in the past. They are very big on Flexsteel.

We had great service at Babette's. Also if you do find something at a store that you like, ck out the manufacturer name and ck online to see if the price is better someplace else.
I would stay away from Rooms To Go. Furniture doesn't last, poor service.

White's and Babette's have good quality and offer the best customer service. I was very disappointed in City Furniture both in customer service and quality.

Hi, we do not want to downgrade anyone and will go a long way to avoid that and we like to credit persons who are nice to deal with.
We found City Furniture to be absolutely terrible to deal with, the managers misled us, the delivery guys were so bad it is difficult to talk about it.
So, suggest you might contact the furniture stores in Ocala, we have heard good things about them for sure, several times. Earlier there were multiple comments on here, negative about City NON furniture.

We purchased for Whites and were very pleased, especially with warranty. The headboard was not finished correctly, we were given the option of having it refinished at the house in 1-2 days or getting a new one in a week or so. We opted for a new one. They were great to deal with from start to finish.

We had a great experience with City Furniture the first time around so back to the well. My TOTV diploma was temporarily revoked on the first order because I didn't follow the gang by not buying at City. Every furniture store has horror stories. We bought a very simple but beautiful bedroom set. At the end of the transaction the very patient and nice sales lady gave me a sheet with their rules for cancellations and what goes on if some of the furniture is damaged. I politely listened and then said I had some guidelines for them. Everything will be examined outside of the house and when we are satisfied we will accept the entire delivery inside. If there is unacceptable amount of damage the order will go back and no second chance will be given to redeliver.

The credit terms are about the same as Louie The Loanshark. It is zero interest for 6 months but if it isn't paid in full then the interest is due since day 1 at the rate of...sit down....29.99%. I was going to pay upon delivery but took the "Louie Deal". I'll pay it off at 5 months.

I understand what others have posted on TOTV about this store. The deal did not feelas smooth as the first time around. I'll keep you posted.

I had a wonderful experience at Family Furniture in Leesburg. I was lucky to have been here when Southern Lifestyles was here and most of my furniture is from them. One room from Babettets and some pieces from Whites. I am very happy with Family Furniture. Reminds me of the good old Southern Lifestyles.

My vote is for City Furniture...really! I have been using them for years and NEVER had a single problem. We recently moved here in Pine Ridge. Went to the store at Lake Sumter. The sales lady was wonderful. We purchased a dining room set, 2bar stools , 2 outdoor wicker rockers, small table and a beautiful bedroom set. Every piece was in perfect condition. The delivery guys were polite, efficient and on time. We liked the store in Lake Sumter better than the one on 441. Also, we got the dining set half off because it was a floor model. They price them half off when they were used in furnished new homes .

If you are looking for something other than the usual "cookie cutter" furniture offerings, try Blockers in Ocala (right across from Kane's on College Ave) We founs a number of very distinctive pieces that perfectly fit our decorating plans.
