Did you check your ground fault reset? Sometimes the humidity or amount of items on the circuit cuts the power. Check your breaker box and the ground fault on your outside plugs. Depends on your house style on which plug has the reset button on the plug.

And I'm not technical about it either. We recently had 3 kitchen outlets that stopped working. Neither of the 3 appeared to be "ground fault" (no button on them to push). We checked the circuit breaker box and none of them had "flipped off". We were at the point of calling an electrician when our son came to visit. He immediately started looking for a ground fault outlet and found it hidden behind a mixer between the range and refrigerator. It had "flipped off" and once he flipped it back, all outlets were working!
I'd suggest you look for the nearest ground fault outlet and try flipping that! Good luck! |

Sometimes water gets in and will trip the GFCI. We had this happen after powerwashing the house.
Usually the reset switch is in the garage, so try that first. |

If there are multiple outlets/receptacles on the same GFCI-controlled circuit, the first receptacle in the circuit will be the GFCI receptacle. The wiring for all the downstream receptacles in the circuit is done such that they are controlled by that initial GFCI receptacle as well.
If something should cause a ground fault issue at any point downstream from the GFCI receptacle, it will trip and cut the power to all the receptacles in the circuit. Bill ![]() |

The GFI outlets with the trip/test button for our lanai is in the garage.
They are easy to spot as they have a red indicator light that if trip is glowing red. Just push the button that is sticking up and it will rest. btk |
