Default Frank Gay New Furnace

I knew the day would come. Time for a new furnace. Any thoughts on this business positive or negative?
Thank you for your time!

Search previous discussions on this site. You won't likely see anything positive.

I have yet to see a positive statement about Frank Gay services since they bought out Kiley & Sons

I had to replace the unit on my Mom's place over in the historic district a few years back and used SunKool (who I also use for the maintenance on my home). It was nothing but a very positive experience.

Agree.

Have not experienced them, but there have been so many with bad experiences. Good Luck Forrest.

Taking bets now, that the odds of them giving you an estimate that is the lowest are 1000-1. Do not waste your time, even for an estimate

Whoever you use, get it done before the end of the year when the new regulations kick in, the prices will go up substantially, and you will be getting new and unproven technology. We had our HVAC system replaced last week.

The radio ads are beyond annoying. That should be a clue

Another reason:
Some American HVAC systems (including Trane) ASSEMBLE in the USA, using parts made in Mexico. Tariffs are going to be jacking up the already-inflated prices.

Get your expensive stuff now while you can still afford the payments.

What ever you get, make sure to get a 10-12 year warranty (parts and labor). If you plan on living in the home for more then 5 years I would recommend a unit with a SEER rating of 19. Going to cost more but you will get a payback in 5 years.
(Get the warranty in writing)

I recently asked for a quote from Frank Gay to install a home EV charger. the electrician they sent started playing around with my electrical panel. “You need a brand new electrical panel” he said. "We'll install it for $4,000". I chucked to myself, and thought maybe I do need one and maybe I don't. He then proceeded to try to up-sell me on various services that Frank Gay offered and that I had not asked for. It was obvious to me he'd been wound up like a tin soldier by his bosses to try to up-sell everything he could think of, whenever he gave a customer estimate. I half expected him to tell me I needed the air in my car tires changed and that was a service they offered. I eventually used Sun State Power for my work. Their electrician laughed when I told him what the Frank Gay electrician had said. After dealing with their representative, I will never do business with Frank Gay, nor will I recommend them.

Horrible reviews. Get 3 quotes. Frank Gay will be triple what anyone else charges. Call Good Guys A/C, Munns and Suncool for quotes.

Well suddenly, Claudia Sheinbaum, Mexico's President is agreeing to our President-Elects terms, which would otherwise impose a 25% tariff on imports from Mexico.

ON TOPIC about THIS HVAC COMPANY-the O.P. should search past posts here. If they due dilligence this company- they would never choose this firm.
When I see The brightly colored Gay trucks on our roads, I totally cringe, knowing that someone has a nightmare of epic proportions rolling around the turnabouts toward them.
BUYER BEWARE!!!

Mike Scott plumbing. The guy came at eight pm and fixed an outside leak that nobody else would touch. At least get an estimate. He’s the best !
