Default Problem with home exterior paint match

We have the original paint from the exterior painting a little over one year ago. A couple cracks were patched and the same paint used from the original painting but now there is a slight shine over the area the new paint is. Does anyone know if this is normal and if so how long will it take to blend into the rest of the paint or does anyone know what we can do to get this glossy look off the newly painted area.?

Use 500 grit wet sandpaper and go over it lightly. Shine will be gone.

Paint fades from the sun...would be hard to make an exact match a year later I would think!

Sounds like the patches were latex caulk, which would leave a shiny spot. Try scraping off all excess caulk leaving unly the caulk in the cracks. Apply one light coat of exterior paint letting it dry for about 4 hours. Then apply a second thin coat this should help if not call me Len 352-446-8875 I'll check it out for you
