Default Lighthouse Seafood

Has anybody ever bought from them? What did you think? They're located on 466 on the left if you're heading towards Rolling Acres.

Didn't even know about them. Exactly where are they? Near the corner of Rolling Acres and 466 or in the plaza where the fruit stand is, a bit closer to TV on 466?

a truck comes in and sets up a pop-up canopy and vends from coolers - they locate themselves in the clearing between the fruit stand and the shopping plaza on 466 between morse and rolling acres rd.

i have been wondering about the quality of the seafood, too...hope someone here has an opinion.

Hmmm. I am also curious about them. I see they advertise in the Daily Sun. I would like to know how fresh their seafood is and whether or not it has been frozen.

I've been getting shrimp from Mark who about every 2 weeks sets up at the vacant lot on 301 & 466. He advertises in The Village Sun. You have to buy at least 5 pounds. So far no complaints .

To Caroline: The fried soft shell crabs at Sakura, the Japanese restaurant in Colony plaza, are fabulous.

Our neighborhood went on a river cruise by Capt Mike yesterday and then went to the restaurant in front of his dock, Stumpknockers. Seafood was wonderful and they had soft shell crabs. 31 people went and not one complaint, all raves on the food. The 2 hour river cruise was very interesting and informative. Nice afternoon trip.

The Stumpknockers you mention by the river and the one in downtown Inverness near the court house are both exceptional. Our "take to" place when we have company from the northern environs.

I tried Lighthouse seafood a couple of days ago. I bought shrimp, Fl lobster tails (Frozen) and scallops. Everything was great but as one poster said they are not cheap. I will use them as my seafood go to place.

Have bought from them for quite a while--the fish is fresh, and the quality excellent. However, call before you go--their posted business hours are not reliable!

The owner now has seafood in spanish springs on Thursday mornings at the farmers market. We bought some scallops and they were very good but a little pricey!
