Here is an interesting question for you. If the insurance companies are insisting on replacing roofs after 10 years (15 if you are real lucky) why would anyone put on 25 to 30 year shingles. My point, why not put on the least expensive shingles and save some money?

Just my uneducated guess, but I figure it depends on what kind of roof you have. Still, Like your question. I'm anxious to see the official answer.
