Default Looking for a Volvo Mechanic

We are a Volvo family new to the area. We are hoping to find a Volvo mechanic; Ocala Volvo is too far and the dealer is more expensive. A former head volvo mechanic or foreman who knows old Volvos would be ideal.

I am interested as well. I had car troubles and had to resort to Ocala Volvo. Never again! Way to expensive but I was a captive audience and no other choice at the time.

Try the NAPA shop in front of Stonecrest on 441.

My mother's Merc Sable was TOWED there (wouldn't start). They kept it for two days looking for a problem. Didn't find one because the entire time they had it, it started everytime they tried. But, they didn't charge for any service other than the tow.

I take my 2002 Beetle there - find them to be very reliable, truthfull and fair.

Last year a friend came to Florida and picked up a used Volvo he bought on line. He had some problems and it wouldn't start. He had it towed to Auto Masters in Lessburg. They diagnosed the problem, got the correct parts overnight from Jacksonville and completed the repair for a very reasonable price.

I dropped him off at the shop and it was quite busy with a lot of the work being done on foreign cars. It's a full service auto repair facility and worth a trip to check it out. Here's a link to their web site.

Thanks for the tip. I would like to learn more about this place. I am not familiar with a place called "Stonecrest". I thought NAPA was a parts store. Could you provide more details

To satisfy inquiring minds, we went to Auto Masters of Leesburg.
This is a family business. The place is clean and organized. The atmosphere is friendly.
Steve, the owner, conveyed knowledge and confidence about our vehicles. His diagnostics were accurate, he was fair in his price (no upcharging or overcharging when it came to supplies and labor time). He was careful to educate us about his findings and course of action.
We are hopeful that we have found the right"Go To" mechanic for our Volvos

Automasters is located on 27 shortly after the 441/27 split.

Default Auto Master of Leesburg update

It has been more than a year since we inquired about a good mechanic for our Volvos. Auto Master of Leesburg serviced our 960 and XC90 since. Steve, the owner, is transparent and reasonable. We work as a team and he takes the time to educate us about our vehicle's needs.

We are grateful to the person who posted the referral and highly recommend Auto Master of Leesburg to Volvo owners. European car owners should also consider Auto Master as there go to since Steve specializes in European makes.
