Smile Hotel recommendations

We have friends who will be visiting the Villages who would prefer to stay in a hotel for a week rather than inconvenience their friends who stay in TV. Does anyone have any suggestions for hotels within or very close to TV. Hope I am not breaking any rules by asking.
thanks

Sometimes you can find a fully equipped home or villa that can be rented on a weekly basis. Is that something that would be considered?

The hotels on 441 have good rates. Comfort Inn behind Chili's and a Holiday Inn Express one block South.

We stayed at the Waterfront Inn and found walking to everything LSL was great fun.

Default Stayed at the Comfort Inn

I stayed at the Comfort Inn in July (on 441 right behind Chilis's). Good location and comfortable. Basic continental breakfast. Try their AAA Motor Club or AARP rates if your friends are members.

Default Another idea

We have stayed at the Marriott in SS. Mostly because hubby had perks there but still a nice place to stay.

We've stayed at the Holiday Inn Express a number of times. Nice place. AAA rate gets you 10% off the standard rate. Get a reservation ahead of time as they start getting booked up come high season.

It works out well - full hot breakfast every day, free newspapers, walk to SS whenever you'd like, golf cart accessible (as are most all the other hotels as well), and convenient to businesses along 27/441.

I understand the Waterfront is running some pretty good rates and if you book the reservation, you can get a Villager's 10% discount. However, depending on the date (November/December), you could probably get a villa for one week for them. That would give them a much better feel of TV.

I agree. It is a first class place with decent rates and a short walk to the square.

Another vote for the Waterfront Inn. Really nice rooms, great location, very good breakfast and reasonable rates.

Default Waterfront Inn

I will be in TV, for my first visit next month, to look at homes. Staying at the Waterfront Inn for three nights. Received a great rate of $69.00 per night.

Hampton Inn certainly has a "known reputation," but folks coming to The Villages MUST know that it is NOT, repeat NOT, golf-cart accessible!

I had friends at The Waterfront Inn a couple/three years ago. They absolutely loved it!

When we came down to house-hunt....we stayed at The Holiday Inn Express. Very nice accomodations plus had the free breakfast every morning. I'd stay there again if I needed to! I'd guess any of the places in TV would be just as fine.
