Got up this am and saw that my solar tube in kitchen is dislodged and not sure who to call for repair. Any suggestions? Is this a job for handyman or do we need a specialist

Have you tried to push it back up to the ceiling? You may be able to secure it to the edges of the drywall with some 2-sided adhesive tape.

But, to answer your question, it looks like a very easy job for a handyman or handywoman.

I would see if it was installed by The Solar Guys and see if they'll repair it under warranty.

I would just push it back up or call the Solar Guys as they are the only ones that I know of who installs them.

OP, I would go into the attic with a flashlight and see if the tube is torn or disconnected on the attic. You can also have a person shine a flashlight (a night) into the solar tube from inside the house and see if you see any light in the attic. If you do, this is a bigger problem, and you will need to contact a solar tube installer for the repair. If you do not see any light or tears, then I would remove the lens inside the house, and apply some sealant to the ring and push back into place, and after the sealant has dried, reinstall the lens. If you cannot do this, a handyman should be able to help.

I am only working from the picture, but it does appear that some screws might be missing as the only other solar tube I looked at has screws to a mounting ring inside the attic.

should be just a handyman or DIY fix. If you are not agile don't go into your attic. Let a handy man do it.
