I will be moving into the Villages in late fall and would like any recommendations for a local mechanic would can service my mercedes as my understanding is the closest dealers are Orlando and Gainesville.

This may not be exactly what you are looking for but I have used both over the past 6 years and Gainesville now gets all my work. They pick up and deliver in The Villages. Like most MB service centers, you do have to challenge them occasionally on service costs, but, they will adjust if you make your case. I was unhappy with Orlando. A friend has a classic and uses a private garage up on 441. I don't know the name. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I've just taken my SLK to AutoMaster in Leesburg, on US27, Steve Healy proprietor. They work on foreign and domestic models. I'm still waiting to hear back from them re repair costs.

Don't have a Mercedes but I can gladly recommend Tim at Accutech, @ 301 & 466. He's worked on my diesel truck and our 2 hondas. He'll tell you he's not the cheapest guy in town but he does stand behind his work. On at least 3 or 4 occasions he's not charged us for minor repairs.

I'm sure he can work on a mercedes. He's a master mechanic.

We have an Audi which needs service and the closest I can find is Altamonte Springs which is basically Orlando. Any suggestions for an Audi expert?

Per Audi's web site, that's their closest dealership.

There is a great and honest mechanic up in Ocala, only 20 minutes from The Villages. Its called "Shannon's Foreign Car Service". I have met the guy several times, and is a straight shooter. Dan Griffen who I think was mentioned seems to have a good reputation around town also.
