What kind of repair? In many cases there could be a lot of supplies or materials or specialized tools required. Many repairs require the vehicle to be elevated, which would be difficult at your house, and impossible on a sloped driveway.

Actually car ramps are suitable for a slightly sloped driveway, especially concrete. I always chock the rear tires, even when level.
