Default Moving

We are building a home soon in Desoto and will be moving furniture down here once our home sells up north. Looking for a place to store the furniture and then a local moving company to move the furniture from storage to our new home. Any suggestions?

We are doing the same thing, kind of in reverse. We used Quality Movers, recommended by a good friend, to come pack up our house and move it to the storage facility they work with, Rolling Acres Storage. They gave us a room in their inside building at a nice price because we are away for eight months, and they knew we wouldn't be around to check on an outside storage. They gave us a bigger room at the initial smaller room price they had quoted because they really thought the stuff should be inside, and they didn't have a smaller room inside. All climate controlled, but get your own contents insurance because their's doesn't cover much. Allstate gave us the coverage we needed.

Quality Movers and Rolling Acres were extremely nice/professional to work with. How nice to not lift a finger to pack up. We thought we were back in the corporate world. And all this cost less than the move to FL from Michigan & Pittsburgh, when we did our own packing. And that factors in the cost of moving us back to our eventual new house in TV.

There are plenty of self-storage places around and more on the way. Should have no trouble there.
A popular local moving company is Village Mover The Villages Movers | Choose Village Mover with over 41,000 moves there is an imposter I hear posing as them so be sure to get the right one.

But what you're going to hear more of than recommendations for moving stuff, is recommendations to sell your furniture up north and buy new down here. It has been said the the "up north" used furniture doesn't often look good in a new home here. Many wished they'd sold or given away and not moved and stored their stuff here. Only to have it moved again.

Search this forum for related comments. There are many.
