Default Wood laminate flooring

We would like to install a good quality wood laminate in our living/dining areas in our new Begonia. I know info has been posted before but I would like current updates on best quality, best selection and best install. I prefer a company that has their own installers.
Has anyone used Nickel Tile?
Thanks!

Default Floors

Go see Bob at Floors R Us in Bellview. Their best installer is Clarence. They have done many floors for us, always satisfied. Len & Mary

We are using Distinctive Flooring on 44 in Wildwood. We were very impressed with the selection and the owner Ted, who is a Village resident.

I am editing this post because we had major problems with the installers that I will describe in another post. I do not recommend this company under any circumstance.

Great Lakes flooring on 441 across from the hospital is excellent! But instead of getting laminate flooring spend the extra money and get the vinyl plank that is waterproof. That way if you have a water leak from a kitchen appliance, toilet or sink you will not have to replace all of your flooring. It is definitely worth the extra monies because you do not have to worry about future problems.

A second for Roberto's. I am a Shaw retiree and they installed our Epic engineered hardwood in a Begonia.

Make sure your laminate is not Chinese import. Major issues with bad chemicals.

Shaw laminate is made in Ringgold Georgia at a plant I have visited many times.

Vinyl plank is getting more popular all the time and is a good alternative.

Worth a visit to the Floor Shoppe on 301. Quality flooring and installation.

Default Laminate floors

I have used Villages Flooring from Fruitland park in 2 of my homes. Ask for installer John, village resident. Best prices and great work. Make sure and have the baseboards taken off for the install. Do not use quarter round. Looks much better, not like an afterthought.

We used the Floor Shoppe. They take the time to go through all of their products, do not push the higher priced ones, precisely measure everything, and provided stellar installation. Two small problems (really small) were addressed immediately. The price was fair for the material and service provided. We had laminate and tiles installed in the whole house. Beautiful result and great help from Michael at the shop and his crew of installers.

Strongly agree. Great Lakes has done two homes for us. Could not be happier.

Just had laminate floors installed in 3 bedrooms by Royal Palm Flooring. I have used them before and continue to be pleased. Owners are installers. Chuck Abby 352-272-8963 and Todd Durant 352-205-7650.

We had the entire house done with Anderson engineered hardwood flooring. Was told they invented it. We got it from East Coast Flooring in Belleview, who have their own crews, and had good prices. Didn't want quarter round used, so they removed and reapplied the mouldings.

Another vote for East Coast Flooring. They have done two jobs for us and their installers are top notch and are NOT sub-contractors. They went above and beyond and even repaired some damage caused by our dog gratis.

As the retired patent counsel for Shaw/Anderson (Shaw bought Anderson in the late 2000's) I can confirm they invented engineered hardwood flooring. It is now made by Anderson under several brands and by Shaw as EPIC (which we have in our home in The Villages).
