Default My experience at the villages ford in bellview

just want to make people aware of my experience at The Villages Ford in Belleview. Purchased a new car from them in 2017. Went in for my second oil change in the quick lane change that they advertise as 45 minutes guaranteed service. After 1 hour I had to ask what was going on with my car since i had a doctors appointment that were important and could not be missed. He rudely said "sorry" I continued to press for the next 30 minutes that I was only in for a simple oil change and needed the car back for my appointment. after 1:30 minutes I had to actually say what do I have to do to get my car returned call the police. Finally my car was rudely returned to me. I just figured going in for a simple oil change 2 hours before an appointment should be fairly easy. Not with this so called quick lane change with bad attitudes. He even stated it was a very slow day when I arrived.

I had a similar experience there several months ago, except they were not rude, just slow. It took almost 2 hours to get an oil change. They didn't charge me, but I would rather have it done faster.

If you are going to try them again ask for Mrs. Jay. Whatever the truth is like it or not she'll tell you the truth. I miss them they treated me very well until we tried to negotiate a new vehicle. Didn't work out. First Non-Ford Car in over 30 years was purchased instead.

Mrs. Jay told me to let her know when I needed service on my other brand and she'll order the correct stuff and have it ready for me. Great Service.

My Ford Fusion was making a high pitched engine whine that increased when I hit the gas, so I went to Village Ford to get it fixed. I told the service writer that it sounded like a belt tensioner to me, and he put that on the service request. I was waiting for the car. After an hour wait, they told me it was the alternator, which would cost me $700, and it would be two hours for the part to arrive, then another two hours for the repair, as the car had to go on a lift and the motor mounts loosened in order to replace the alternator. I watched this whole process through the service window and the car went up and down on the lift several times. When they got it done, of course the noise was still there. Then they said they also had to change the belt tensioner, but they would give me a ride home and pick me up the next day. When I objected to them not fixing what I originally told them was wrong, they said the problem was both items, but they would not charge me labor on the tensioner. I made a critical error my not insisting they give me the old alternator, which I could have had checked out. After just under $1,000.00, I got the car back. I can't prove they screwed me, but I know I'll never do business with them again. I now use Key Scales Ford, who has been great.

A couple of years ago, I went in for the normal oil change and systems check, and it was completed in reasonable time, however the service report indicated that my brake pads were low and needed to be replaced soon. I am a DIY person, so I bought front and rear pads and the special tool required for the rear brakes. Imagine my surprise when the pads a removed had over 70% life left in them. Since I had the parts, the time, I just went ahead and replaced all of the pads, then while my hands were still dirty from working on the car, I took the report back to Village Ford, showed the service manager the report and the pads I removed, I have not been back since.

Just like everything else different people have different experiences.

When we were only here two days a piece of decorative plastic molding came halfway off our Ford Van. I tied it up with rope and went to call for repair. Key was three weeks for an appointment, at Village Ford I was told bring it in now for a repair that worked and was like an Indy pitstop.

I listened to John W about the replacement car and had the same kind of experience at Hyundai of Central Florida, its a trip but saved a bundle and they seem to have their act together.

Last time I went past Village Ford the new car inventory was extremely low? Product year change or maybe a whole lot of people have had bad experiences?

I had a poor buying experience at Villages Ford. I was shopping by myself for a Ford Escape and a young male salesperson practically blew me off when I was asking some tough questions about the car and particularly about pricing. He was ignorant and rude. I reported him to the manager, left the dealership, and bought a new car at Key Scales that day.

I have never had a bad experience at Village Ford. Would buy there again. Honest salesman, quick service, and reasonable prices. Four of my friends that bought at Keys Scales Ford now have all their service work done at Village Ford.

I also bought my Ford at Key Scales, but have all warranty and maintenance work done at Villages Ford. Some people seem to have a misconception that where you buy a car has something to do with where you get warranty work done. It doesn't. You can have warranty and maintenance work done at any authorized dealer, and they are happy to get your business.
