Default Know your cost before

I have been looking for a hair stylist for a while. Here in Florida, the south or just The Villages everything is ala carte. Desperate for hair cut and highlights I found a great hair dresser Liegha at Salon Jaylee.
But beware ask what the full amount will be prior. $260.00 later who is the fool not her.

Happened to me at Dimensions. Everytime I would go in we would celebrate my hairstylist getting a promotion and every time my fee would go up. Last time mine was about the same as yours and I finally stormed out of there because I had had it. I'm trying a new gal tomorrow that I was recommended to go to at a different salon. It's so scary to go to someone new. My biggest problem is that sometimes they fry my blonde highlights. I don't know what they do wrong or different from others but it takes a long time to recover from your hair being fried.

Urban Hair Studio has set pricing. $70-something for cut & color. I forget the other prices (I've had foil highlighting along with the cut and color once or twice-- somewhere around $109?)

They use Wella products, the only double-pigment color product that will actually cover my gray. Samantha, the owner, is a perfectionist.

You can learn to cut and dye your own hair on the internet site called "You Tube." There are hundreds of hair stylists that will teach their specialty to you for free. You can buy Wella gray hair coloring products at your local Sally's Beauty Supply store for only $5.00.

Maybe it is time to let your hair go grey and not worry about it.

Oh, oh. You had better go hide brother. I believe you are about to suffer the consequences of your indiscretion. [emoji48]

When I moved here 5 years ago my daughter gave me a gift certificate for Dimensions. It was for $100 and I remember thinking I had never paid that much in NY for cut and color. Well, guess again, I had to pay more!

Cal's has great professionals and Reasonable prices. I think My foils and cut was around $100. It doesn't matter if That is higher or less than jersey or upstate or whatever because I live in TV.

You have to have a beautician's license to buy Wella products like the ones they use in the salon.

I could watch a gazillion You Tube videos and still wouldn't be able to cut my own hair. I don't have eyes in the back of my head, and I can't work backwards in a mirror very well. No way would my salon professional teach me how to cut my own hair. She doesn't even cut the back of her own hair, only the pieces in the front. She spent a lot of time developing her skills. Why would she give them away for free? she's good at what she does and deserves every penny she makes. I find her prices to be very reasonable.

And no, I will not let my hair go gray. It's a horrible shade of gray that doesn't compliment my skin color at all. Not everyone looks good in gray. I don't even look good in gray clothing!

I used to go to Dimensions @ Colony (now named Jaylee) when I first moved here four years ago. One day I was talking to another lady who went there & thought the prices were way too high. Well I hadn't really noticed that because I had been going to some high end salons in Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood area. But then I realized I was paying way way too much. So I tried Cal's at Colony, & pat does a good haircut. So then I went to the new Cal's @ Brownwood. There are several people there who do a great cut ie: Lexi is one. Then a few weeks ago I tried Hair Cuttery at Traverse Plaza. Melissa did a great cut & style...very reasonable.

I love both Rina and Caroline at The Cuttery. Great haircuts. I don't color (yet).

Ha! Spoken like a man!
There is a blending process involved in going grey, and believe me, it's expensive and not easy!
