Default Painted driveway

My painted driveway is 18 years old and obviously faded and has gas spots which discolored it. Has anyone recently had their driveway painted and who did it.

We just had the driveway resurfaced, around 1000 square feet, I did get 3 estimates. The original company that stained (painted) knew it had never been sealed and offered to restain at $3000, the 2 other companies required the old finish to be ground off and then the new coating to be applied at estimates of $5000 to $8000. For various reasons we went with a coating similar to epoxy and flakes at a cost of $10000. This will give you an idea of the typical costs.

Sorry, I threw away the paperwork a few weeks ago. I did a search on this site to get recommendations. If I come across my notes I will get back to you.

call Edison ConCreations....excellent. They did my driveway, walkway about 6 years ago. They needed to sandblast, powerwash, repaint design. They came highly recommended in the villages. I have a 1 1/2 car driveway and the cost was $1800, but that was 6 years ago. give them a call for an estimate.

Default High

Yes I thought $10000 for a painted driveway was high. I’m having a guy come over Wednesday for an estimate. He’s actually a house painter but does it on the side. He works for Kling painting and he is the crew leader and did a great job painting our inside of our house.

Smile Painted Driveway

We Just had ours done this past spring. Cost was $3200 which included grinding off the old
stain.

I don't have the name of the company but I found if you go to Sherwin Williams on 301 and ask them for a few references of company's they deal with.

Ours is a 2 car driveway with a golf cart garage irregular shape on a court.

Its got a non slip surface on it and it's done with a splatter gun then stained and sealed

Came out very nice.

This was NOT to have the driveway repainted, that estimate was $3K, the other 2 estimates that were for PAINTING included grinding off the existing finish ($5k and $8K), the final quote was for SharkCoat which is what we decided to go with.
NOTE: the driveway, sidewalk and small porch area total very close to 1000 square feet.

From what I have read it is better to have a driveway STAINED than PAINTED. Stain lasts longer and does not chip or crack. The stain seeps INTO the concrete.
