Default Tubular Skylights-Amazing!- Don't Give Up!

Back up nawth, we have a kitchen that gets strong morning sun, an outside wall/window.
Same with our Villages starter home.

Well, we now have our 'more for keeps' place and the kitchen was dark and dismal.

The tubular skylight that came with the small rancher kept the living are bright.

Because it's a lifetime investment that will pay off
Forever, quality and endurance were more important, so we had the leading company visit and write us up for a skylight

Price was not the driving issue so the supplemental costs added for the Sumter permit, extra 10' of tubing, even the 'extra man and steep roof surcharge' were all OK

Then the boss called....rain on the parade, someone licked the red off the candy cane....

Our roof was too steep.

a few minutes and a couple clicks later
We found a local company of a few guys that said no worries.
Owner came out , sized us up, and did mention the long tubing and steep roof fee

They brought all three guys out and three hours

later the kitchen looks like a stage set and the attic (we had them stick in a couple solar fans while they were up there) is maybe 30 degrees cooler.

When the owner mentioned that the costliest expense was his advertising, I told him that we would let others with steep roofs know
And that after 30 years of directory and newspaper ads for our own business we stopped cold turkey and have no regrets.

We mentioned that while we could barrage TOTV
every day like some
Guerilla marketeers do, that's tacky and suggested they do TOTV ads with some of the print money

If we get some response via this forum it might show that it could get them a little exposure
Out of respect for this medium, we will not post a shameless plug like we have seen so
many do.
We have a local Johnny come lately competitor back home that uses Craigslist for a retail store.
That's not all, they registered a look alike URL domain to misdirect consumers.

Imagine Talk of the Village starting up
Or throwing a hyphen in......
Let There Be Light
Bright and Free!

We do events and I suggested he have he
Parties
