Default Dish Network....Thoughts?

We will be moving to TV in January to the Village of Woodbury. We currently are about 6 months into a 2year agreement with Dish Network and have been very happy with their service at our home in Ohio. After searching through TOTV, I haven't seen many comments about DISH. Lots of talk about ComCast and CenturyLink. Do any current DISH subscribers in TV has strong opinions one way or the other? Also, what is the best High Speed Internet provider in the TV?

We had DISH up north and have used it here for almost two years. No problems. Occasional outages due to weather - no more than up north. We brought our set-top boxes with us and they were connected by the installer. Recently upgraded to Hopper/Joey whole house DVR and love it.

We use Comcast for Internet. We own our cable modem and wireless router. Again, we had Comcast up north so we just brought our equipment with us.

We've had Dish for several years and have moved three times with it. We just boxed up the machines and took them with us and then contacted Dish to come out and set them up and tune them in. Recently upgraded to The Hopper with Sling and really like it's capabilities. We use Comcast for internet cause it is the fastest here.

I have had Comcast, Direct TV, Dish, Prism (Century Link) since moving to The Villages. I rate Comcast the worst customer service. I had outages with Dish but put up with it because I did not want to go back to Comcast. Then I got Direct TV, after the 2 year contract with them I wanted to see what kind of extras I could get from them to sign another contract. They gave a bit and I was ready to signup again. I had no problem with their service. Then a friend said to give Century Link a call. Their deal was better with the price guaranteed for 2 years and a 1 year contract. I also got a $250 gift card from Century Link. I will check Century Link against Direct next year and will go with the best deal. Comcast and Dish are out of My competitive process.

Ive had Direct TV since 1999 and absolutely love it! My wife & I are both big sports fans.We get the baseball, , hockey & NFL Ticket . Direct TV I believe has exclusive rights to all the NFL games that aren't broadcast nationally. Also if you compare H D channels & the quality of picture nothing comes close. I don't know if their prices are in line with competitors as I have no reason to shop.
