Default Pest Control & lawn Services

Anyone have any experience with Massey Services? I think they do both Pest and lawn services...mowing, etc.

Thanks

We have Massey for our Pest services (6 months) and so far they seem to be pretty good.

We HAD Massey for our lawn services, fertilizer, insect, week, etc, and dis-satisfied doesn't begin to express it strong enough. We discontinued, and are awaiting a refund for the remaining 6 months of our purchase. (stipulated in contract that we could)

We are now trying Zoysia Green, have noticed the better looking yards seem to be using them too.

Thanks BlueHeron.... That's exactly what I wanted to know. I'll probably just use Massey for pest control only.

We had Massey for lawn and pest services, but also terminated their services when our contract was up. They were great for pest control, but we weren't satisfied with their lawn care services. We decided to switch both instead of keeping them for only one type of work. They weren't a bad company to work with, but our Zoysia grass just didn't look so great when they were taking care of it.

I have PTL Services. I use them for the pest control and the lawn cutting (and now the termite service - even though I dont have termites, want to make sure I don't get them) Have lived here for 11 years. have been thru a LOT of different companies but they are great, always on time, never a problem. And they are extremely reasonable. I live on a corner lot in a villa and am always being complimented on the condition and looks of my lawn. Their phone number is 352-307-7484. Tell them Monica Carter recommended you. I don't think you will be sorry.

We also have used PTL for the last three years for all our lawn and pest control and have been very happy with their services.

It is unusual for a pest control company to do lawn cutting. Does PTL also do lawn fertilization, aeration, weed control, fire ants, etc.?

Will PTL also spray for weeds in your rock/mulch beds?

Thanks Halle. It is rare to finds a company that does it all. I have several companies now doing lawn care, pests, hedge trimming, etc. "One stop shopping" sounds like the way to go. Especially a company with good references.

Barefoot -- PTL is pretty good. I do know of one incident where one of their workers put a gas can directly on the lawn and burned the grass. Sadly, PTL said they would repair the work but never did (got the builder's landscaper to replace the one piece of sod). Other than that one incident, I've found them to be a pretty decent job.

We have used PTL for the last two years and would definitely recommend them. Having all those services handled by one company is great and we have had no issues with them.
I recall being told that the owner of PTL is a former Massey employee.

I've had good experience with Regal Pest Control out of Ocala since we bought the house in January. I have them for interior bugs, termites, and lawn critters. Note these are three separate services. There was a previous thread about this that had a lot of good information.

We use Villages Pest Service (formerly Bay Area Pest) for lawn pest/fertilizer and home pest service, they have been great for the past 4+ years, very few problems but when there was a problem they were back out within 3 days to make it right.....gn

Thanks Dee. I know you have a good handle on which companies are reputable. It seems that there are good and bad stories about every lawn company. Perhaps it depends on the technician.

We used Bay Area Pest/Village Pest Service for a year, based on a recommendation. We found it quite frustrating to deal with them .. phone calls not returned, visits not made when promised. Now we're using Bates plus a different company to cut the lawn plus another company to take care of weeds.

If PTL does it all, that would be a relief.

I have used Village Pest Control for 8 years. They are prompt and they do a good job. Most of us in the area use them also.
