Unhappy Power Window Repair Expert Wanted

Three of my power windows in my 1999 Buick Century don't work. It happened over the past three weeks -- one after another. There appears to be power to each window and each slides down a few inches from the top.

I know it can be fairly expensive to repair them. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced mechanic or individual to help?

I have a 2000 Park Ave and have had the problem with the drivers side window. I think I have a short in the power switch or a cracked wire. As the temperature changes it works or does not work. It works most of the time but I can never be sure. Did not try to get it fixed but my guess is a couple of hundred dollars a door.

One very icy day, I drove from Chicago to Cincinnati in a blizzard with my driver door power window stuck in open position. It was evening and I was alone so I just kept driving..........for five hours.

Doesn't take long to stop at an Ace Hardware and get some clear plastic and duct tape to keep the blizzard out.

LOL

That's a "man" thing....I too would keep driving. I once drove straight thru from Pittsburgh to Massachusetts and when I got out of the car I couldn't walk as my legs were like rubber. This is when I was younger and foolish and was petrified to have had to make such a long drive alone.
