Without regard to the installer, I would recommend metal stairs over wood. The cost will be in the $225-$250 range.

We had an aluminum attic stair installed by Tim Miller Home Services Ph: 352-217-0561. I would highly recommend the aluminum versus wood version - the cost was about $275. Tim Miller is reputable, experienced, and well known throughout the Villages.
