Some folks have asked when various stores are coming to TV. On this one, I decided to take my own advice and went to one of the sources. I sent an email to Crossman, the commercial leasing company handling villages-owned properties. Here's the response I got in less than a day:

Bill,

The Fresh Market will be opening its store at Buffalo Ridge on CR 466 in The Villages. They plan on having the store open at the end of 2008. I hope this answers your question.

Also, keep reading the Villages Daily Sun. We will be announcing some national tenants that are opening stores in The Villages.

I go to a Fresh Market in Memphis and their produce,meat,bakery and deli counter are first class. Much better quality than what I get at Kroger's. At thanksgiving we are able to get fresh organic turkeys. Because they are 100 miles away I take a cooler whenever I visit Memphis and make sure I stop there. Bought a fresh sugar free pie one time that we did have a problem with. I sent e-mail to the company, they called and sent me a $20 gift card for the store. Great customer service.

Did everyone read the article in the DAILY SUN .... that said that a RED LOBSTER just announced they were coming to TV.... Can an OLIVE GARDEN be far behind ?????????

The Fresh Market coming to TV is too cool. Love that store. It's like Whole Foods,maybe better. That is great news. Red Lobster too. Not that I'll have much money left over to spend there, but great that it's coming to TV. YIPPEE!

I believe that this is the chain of stores that they use on the cooking show "Top Chef". Always looks like fantastic fresh products.

we have fresh market here in greenville sc, where i live, but i'm moving to the village of hadley in 4/08 so i'm sooooooooo glad they will be there, the best by far of great meats, coffees, fresh veggies, can't wait!!
