Default Can anyone suggest a realtor? What if you want to buy FSBO?

We are looking to make our week informational gathering visit next month. I was delighted to find the "Talk of the Villages" and realized I could get some great insider information. I feel asking for YOUR view of a particularly great realtor would be good and also what to do if you find a ForSaleByOwner, and you are working with a realtor? Also. Which villages are the ones with the bonds paid? Which have a lot of statues? I THINK they are the same ones. Any advice is greatly appreciated. We are living in a suburb of Cincinnati, West Chester.

We looked around the Villages for two years before renting for the winter. We worked with independent realtors and FSBO leads. For those two years we were on the record with Holly Knowles of Property of the Villages. We looked at 40-50 homes with Holly and not once was there any pressure. When we narrowed down exactly what we wanted, she called us about a new release one morning. We were on the golf course, left after the second hole and looked at our dream home that afternoon and purchased it with 2 months left on our rental.

Thanks to Holly, we had the first shot at this new home that was the first one nearly completed in the neighborhood and on the block we wanted. Subsequently met at least three other couples that wanted the house. There was a little tension when we met a couple at the front door who insisted they were promised the house and had been on the list for a year. We explained that we worked with Holly for two years and that seemed to smooth the ruffled feathers. Very professional and easy to work with. We liked the fact that there was never any pressure to buy and always pleasant and accommodating when looking at listings.

Holly Knowles. I have sent your wonderful recommendation on to my husband and printed it. Thank you beyond words.

Our realtor was Joyce Dunaway from The Villages and she was extremely patient with me. She found us the perfect house. Her partner is Brenda Clark.

I like Debbie and Frank Okrulica (not sure of the spelling) from Realty Executives. They are pleasant and really go out of their way to help you. Their office in on 446 before you get to Buena Vista.

You can also check out www.thevillagesfsbo.com.

If you're looking for FSBO, you can look thru the want ads and online listings yourself, and do without the realtor. We sold our previous home in the Villages this way. We put an ad in the paper, and we had people check the paper and set up appointments, without realtors. This way you cut out the realtor fees, and it is a win win for the buyers and sellers.
