Default Question for fitness buffs

I am looking at The Villages for my next move and have a question for anyone that is involved in regular program exercise. I understand there is a wellness center and not sure if classes are offered there. Currently I go to the local YMCA to attend various fitness classes and that works for me. Are there such classes in or around The Villages? Thanks in advance!

Here are the ones that I personally know about; Yoga and Walk off the pounds and water aerobics. My friend takes ballet, tap and jazz. There is walking outside in a group. These are all free and at the rec centers (There are upwards of 20)

For regular fitness machines and weights go to the regional rec centers. (there are a number of those) There is a fee for the machines and weights.

Then there are people who bike and those who play tennis and pickleball (free) and I won't include golf but it does move you around but you have to pay for that torture.

Someone else is going to fill in or explain better.

Welcome to you!

Hi hlanders,
Here's a wealth of information on recreation in TV:

You might have to copy and paste the link into your browser.

I think you will find TV much to your liking. BTW, welcome to TOTV!!

The Wellness Center was sold and is now "MVP Athletic Club of The Villages". They're remodeling now and the facility is open during remodeling. They'll have all the Wellness Center had will have much more, and in fact all classes are now inclusive in your membership fees. You can find more info at their web site.

Default spin classes

I think Nancy and Ron are the best spin instructors, they both can deal with varying levels of particpants within the same class. The Spinner bikes are the best, the Schwinn don't gave as smooth a ride....imho.
