Hi all...

I am looking for references on a good local mechanic to 1) look over a car and 2) if necessary make repairs needed. Not looking to bring it to a chain.

I have a 98 Mustang convertible here in T.V. that has been lightly driven in the 12 years I had it in FL. It has been mostly garaged.....I'd estimate no more than 2-3k miles per year.

It needs a new top and I am thinking of bringing it back to Connecticut as a 2nd car up there.

Since its been in hot garages for a number of years I want to get it checked out before spending on a new top and before getting it north.

Any ideas for me...thanks in advance.

We've been using Hutson Automotive Repair, 3201 US 27\441, Fruitland Park. They're right next door to Stavros Pizza. They've been there for almost 30 years. They open at 8, and try to do all oil changes at that time to allow for regular auto repair work during the day. They're busy and they're reasonable and they don't need to find dubious work to stay in business. The owner's name is Craig Hutson and that's who you see when you bring your car in for service.
