It is interesting that you state "several repairs" are needed, if this was due to an electrical surge or lightning strike, I would suggest you stick with a name electrician, I have used ECI, and Lenhart's, both are good with reasonable prices.
I have no experience with 'handyman', as I tend to do my own electrical repairs.
