Default Backsplash installer William Parker

We went on 'search' and this gentleman comes highly recommended in this forum.
He is coming early tomorrow to give us estimate.
Would you care to tell us what to expect?
What to ask?
We r looking forward to having this done
Larry, my husband, is super super handy.
If it weren't for health reasons, he would have done this install himself.
Mr Parker did mention Lowes , in his opinion, has the best prices for tiles...that is where we bought since Welcome wagon came w coupon for Lowes.

I will let you know how it goes....

We used Mr. Parker for our kitchen backsplash and he put a new tile floor in our shower. Yes, we bought our tile from Lowe's too, and were happy with his work.

I want to have a backsplash put in our kitchen. I'm very interested in hearing about the quality of his work and the price.

According to HGTV it is easy to do backsplashes. But, I'm not sure that I want to make our beautiful home my first project! Maybe I should have Mom do it! She may be 89 but she is very handy.

He is a character but he is an extremely talented tile man. He has been doing this forever and is a perfectionist. You won't find better. His price is spot on and the job isn't right until you say it is right and you are happy. That said, there are certain things that are a little different with him. He will arrive exactly, and I mean exactly, when he says he will and he will depart accordingly. He likes to take a mid break and have a cup of your coffee with you. He likes to talk. He is quite affable and I enjoyed him doing our backsplash tremendously. You can't go wrong with him but he just isn't a regular install type guy.

Can someone give me his phone number so I can put that project on my "to do list" for the next time I'm in Florida. Thank you.

he does not have a cell phone. his number is 352-347-0954. William Parker is great.
We were tight for time so he came and worked over the weekend. Great job. We got our tile and materials in Lowes. We love our backsplash and get tons of compliments even from a professional tile layer.
We are going to get him to come back and do more work.

He certainly knows his craft but he's one of a kind, very opinionated and doesn't have many good things to say about The Villages or the developer.
He called me MaMa and insisted that Mama and the Old Man sit and have a cup of coffee with him each day.. I should be grateful he didn't call me Granny; that would have been the end of him. Oh yeah, he likes his coffee just so!! He did a great job, he's good and he knows it.

What is his price range? Does he price by the job or by the hour?

By the job and, although I don't remember the price, he was in line or lower than others.

bk, his prices are very competitive, I don't remember what he charged but I do remember thinking it was very fair. He lives for his work and he works VERY clean.

Another vote for Bill as he did a super job for us doing the backsplash all around the kitchen and the counter area where our bar stools are. 2 day job and we picked out the tile from Lowes. He just ooozes with the pride he takes in his work.
