We had a problem with our garage door, it would not open with the garage door openers. You could hear there was power to the motor but we had to open it manually.

Romac Garage repair was booked up for over a week so we called Precision Garage Door Company who could send someone out that afternoon. My husband dealt with the repair person who told him we needed a new motor and new sensors at a cost of $400 up depending on model chosen. Then he tried negotiating the price with my husband if he "bought it now."

Husband did not feel comfortable with the repair person, who we did pay for his assessment, about $60, so we called Romac and waited until they could come. In five minutes the repair person from Romac tightened a couple of screws, did not charge us as they had done some work a few months ago, and said this should have been done then, and that was it. Nothing wrong with motor or sensors.

Just wanted you to know to be careful if you use Precision Garage Door. Would feel bad if you got ripped off and we did not tell you our experience.

Sorry for you experience, this is a common problem that the set screws on either the motor pulley or the chain drive pulley come loose. I recently posted a DIY instruction in the do it yourself section.
