Does anyone use or have an opinion of the Kenmore Hybrid Water Softener System?

I have had one since early December and like it.

It 'softens' water via the same ion exchange method as most others + it has in integral carbon filter to reduce chlorine taste and odor.

They seem to go on sale from time to time.

We had the Sears installer install ours and he did a good job - especially using a slick method to route the flushing water outside.

I have since found out that Eco Water has an equivalent unit.
