Cool Reverse osmosis system

My wife and I have recently moved to the Area. Under the Guise of the "Welcome Wagon we had a guy come to test our water. I think the company is called "All about Water and Solar". Anybody out there know anything about this company?

Hey, glad you finally made it!

Don't know about this company specifically, but it seems to be a pretty typical newbie scam. I know when I first moved here, it seemed every third piece of mail was an offer to check the water (guess the developer really does do something to the water). Of course, the water is pretty bad but I've found it is perfectly usable without any special conditioning.

A water system may be good to have but, it is not as bad as the water people make it to be. I found that they will tell you prices from $5,000 to $1,500 and you have to be very careful who you choose.

The water in The Villages is pretty bad coming out of the tap.....

The tests that these water companies run are legitimate and use chemicals me and you could buy easily to test.....

When they say there is stuff in your water, there really is...

Certain water softener companies "highly" up-mark their items (which is the "scammy" part of the industry).... You just have to look around and do research for the best available company.....

Rainsoft is a good water softener company, they are a little pricey, but in my opinion, all you should buy is the Reverse Osmosis system that goes into your sink..... DO NOT get the full in house system, it could cost you thousands....

My problem is with the water in the Villages being hard and not tasting as good as I'm used to. SO! Off to Walmarts to buy a water softener (cost around $300.00) 4 bags of salt, some plumbing PVC, some flex fittings and a kneeling pad for my knees to do some plumbing.
Results 24 hrs later was nice soft water. Now to get an kitchen undersink carbon filter to take the taste out. Total costs about $400-$450. You take if from here.
