Go to the roof shingle manufactures web site, I use for an example GAF. You will be able to type in your zip code and it will come up with a list of roofing contractor who have been factory trained and recommended by the shingle manufactures. The singles are priced by the square foot. They usually will charge you by the square which is 10x10. They measure your roof come up with a total number than divide it by 100 which give you how many squares there are in your roof. Always get at least three bids on your project. You will also find there are different pricing on the shingles, depending on how long they will last. 20, 25, 30. The price should be for ripping off old shingles and installing new ones .
