Has anyone had an electric attic fan installed (not solar)? Are you happy with it? Who installed it?

The Solar Guys installed our electric attic fan in our garage. Installation went fine. It does push cooler air in the garage and through the attic in the evening. We also have a solar fun which helps during the day. In hindsight, using a solar fan,adding more insulation in the garage attic and adding a foil barrier on the door might have been more or just as effective. Our problem was the heat build up in the garage and concern about moisture/mildew. We have the attic fan on a timer and only run it in warm weather.

Where do you mount attic fans and which way do you discharge the air. We have a hip roof.
