I understand that Broward Factory Service (BFS) is offering an appliance warranty, including central AC, for units over 10 years old for about $700/year. Does anyone have this? It sounds to good to be true since AC service techs have told me that the life expectancy is around 12 -13 years in this area of Florida. I would appreciate any info I can get.

I would read the policy carefully, especially any exclusions.
