Default Villages Laundromat?

Do we have a laundromat in or near the Villages that would have large machines for laundering bed comforters and spreads?

There is a a laundromat in Spanish Springs, between Ace Hardware and Bath and Body Works. It's not the cleanest place and the change machines weren't working when I was there...in fact I walked in and walked back out. But I needed to do wash (machine stopped working and had to wait a few days for the repairman).

I looked at ALL the machines before finding one that was semi-ok and did my laundry on hot! Personally, I wouldn't go back unless I absolutely had to. jackie

The closest laundromat to me is in Fruitland Park. Its on 441/27, about a mile from the 466a road, on the left hand side, in the same shopping center as Appliance Direct. I go there almost monthly to do the quilts and I've found it to be okay. Nothing fantastic but I'm not grossed out to enter and use the machines. It can get busy during the day, but on the weekends, I've found it to be empty. I'd highly recommend it - none of them are wonderful, but this gets a B+ rating.

Believe there is one in Wildwood on 301 and another in Belleview on 441 next to Winn Dixie in the K-Mart Plaza. There is a Hospice thrift shop in that same Plaza that my wife shops at also. And, the large restaurant at the entrance is pretty good 2.

Thank you for the replies and suggestions. I will bag up all of my bed coverings and ... 'gulp' sit in the laundromat next W/E. "Oh the trials of a widower!"

Default Laundromat

In another thread, someone asked about what is needed in The Villages as he was looking for a business to start.

Sounds like he should be looking at this thread.

I agree with fmdesantis. The laundromat in La Plaza Grande is very nice and very clean.
