Service for 2002 Corvette
I had posted a year ago on this topic and got some great feedback. I ended up taking my Vette to Accutech which was highly recommended. Yesterday I was driving and heard what could only be described as something loose on the undercarriage. It's hard to describe, just a very weird noise. I have no idea what it could be and now that Accutech is no longer in business, I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on a good mechanic for a 2002 Corvette.
Thanks for your help. I did a search on Auto Repair but didn't really come up with much. |

The Chevy dealer on 44 in Wildwood is a big time Corvette dealer from all era's they should be able to take care of you there.

I had a car where the heatshield around the catalytic came loose. Turns out a stainless steel hose clamp was a very easy "fix", and yes it was a very weird sound as it changed with vehicle speed, Also to answer your question Wildwood tire has been great, been using them for 8 or 9 years.

I had a Honda Goldwing and heard some wrenches will not work on anything older then 10 years old. I question this and the main reason was a lot of old vintage rides have nuts and bolts seize over time, and those irreplaceable parts are almost impossible to find. I'm always amazed at all the vintage car owners that keep their collectables running with very few older mechanics around that know how to tune the older engines. |

We own classic cars that my husband (or friends) always did work on. We are now in our 80s and husband is ill, friends are dead or infirm. Our Porsches are 1965 vintage and up and there are few mechanics left. We keep them up north - where we live in the Summer - because Porsche Club members are our best source to find quality mechanics. Find a Corvette Club!
