Has anyone had an experience with Service Star Heating and Cooling out of Ocala? Got a flyer in the mail for a $60 24 point preventative maintenance service check including up to 1# 410A refrigerant. Seems to good to be true (which usually means it is). TIA.

It doesn't seem too good to be true to me. I don't think there are any 24 points to check on an HVAC system that will prevent the system from failing. But, if you want a maintenance check, why not hire a local company instead of one that services half of Florida and sends out direct mail flyers to get business? I would pass.

Best to have a long term relationship with a supplier to service your hvac that will also come quickly when you have a problem.
