I have been on a roofer's list since September to have about 15-20 shingles replaced, but my job is so small that I may have to wait for the next hurricane to get services. I have no leaks. Can I have a handyman do this type of work? If not, suggestions?

Like you, I was on a "list" since Irma. Then I found out there was no list---the individual crews had names, called if they were on the way, and if you weren't there, they just crossed you off.
So 2 weeks ago I called the company, made no reference to having called in September, and told them I had roofing shingles that needed repair. They told me it would be a week, but 45 minutes later the roofer called and asked to see the damage at 5 PM. The roof was fixed by 10 AM the next day.

So I would try calling them back, but act like you are a "new" customer.
