Default solar mesh blinds for lanai

Hello,

We've just moved in (and thrilled I might add!!!). However, the sun exposure on the lanai is pretty intense and we were thinking of solar blinds. Our lanai is about 28 feet long. Does anyone have any good recommendations or alternate suggestions. Would appreciate your input.

Thanks

Shlalee

Check Home Depot and Lowes and Sams Club. They have the roll up mesh sun shades.

Welcome to you Shlalee! I hope you enjoy every second of a thousand years in Paradise.

We are kinda thinking about those kind of blinds too. They provide sun relief and privacy and you can still see out. Our neighbors had them done custom. They sell them at Lowes or Home Depot, or both, but I remember seeing them far less expensive at the Lowes in Leesburg, which is very close to the intersection of 441/27 and 466A. The hanging of them is really quite easy. In our lanai in the Camellia, you could buy every one but one from stock and not have to have them special made....if I remember correctly. That would leave only one to be special made. Another option is to have the screens replaced which probably would be pretty expensive. Has anyone had that done?

Happy Lanai sitting!

I am also interested. I'd like to also get some shades for more privacy. Any suggestions to add more privacy while out on the lanai?
