If you have Xfinity internet service, Xfinity Mobile is a great deal, and it uses the Verizon cell network. Unlimited talk and text and $12 per gb for mobile data, or $45 per month for unlimited data. Verizon is always rated as the best cell network of the 4 nationwide networks. There are lots of threads on cell phone service on this web site.

I live in Fenney and T-Mobile is fantastic. They will give you a free booster for the house if you need one. The senior plan is a great value. Finally, they have T-Mobile Tuesdays where each Tuesday you get special values and promotions. Every week you get 10 cents off Shell.

Xfinity Mobile is great...we have two smartphones and usually stay under 1 gig of shared data
(there's so much free wifi around). Total bill this month: $14.66! You can usually use your existing phone -- they just change the SIM card. |

T-mobile is great for people over 55 (great prices for two lines) and also if you travel internationally. Free (slow) data and free texting in a zillion countries, plus cheap calls.

We've had T-Mobile for 17 years and have experienced significant improvement in The Villages. We do not need boosters in our home. Few, if any dead spots now. T-Mobile is tops internationally. When you enter a new country it tells you and you're good to go - free internet and nominal cost for phone calls.

Sprint vs T-Mobile
The merger between these two carriers is not dead. They are currently renegotiating the merger because the value of Sprint had dropped. Now with the Stock Market falling and going into a Bear Market I can only imagine the negotiations are being halted until some stabilization occurs

T Mobile is buying out Sprint in the near future. Better off going with Consumer Cellular

Absolutely agree that T-Mobile is the clear winner with their 55 Plus rate (two lines, all inclusive), great domestic coverage and full international coverage. Was with AT&T for 10 + years, Verizon 12+ years and was very disappointed in their fee structure and customer service. Switched to T-Mobile 5 years ago and have not regretted it. Their Customer Service is great, local storefronts with knowledgeable staff and always a very broad phone selection. Expandable 5G phones that cover most bands as those frequencies become widely available.

T-mobile service
I have found after 3 months that my t-mobile service has been good.Their Magenta 55 at $45 a month per phone with unlimited data(20 Gb at high speed) and unlimited talk and text with free Netflix and airline data is a great value. They have the highest number of cell towers in the villages. There are some dead spots though. Down the “off campus” eastern expressway 468 is one. But on the whole I am pleased.

Love my t mobile. Use tmobile Tuesdays for free meals, money off for gas at shell, and many other deals. Senior deals are great for 2 lines and we travel a lot and have free coverage on not just europe, but africa, asia, central and south america. No coverage problems across the US. You'll love tmobile.

If you like the TMobile network then Mint Mobile (an MNVO that uses the TMobile network) is a lower cost option. $15 per month (prepaid) for unlimited talk and text and 3 gigabytes of cellular data per month. Plans with greater amounts of data are available.

We have been with T-Mobile for almost two years and have seen a huge improvement in coverage. We did get the booster for free from them to eliminate dead spots in the house. Unlike Verizon, T-Mobile will not slow you down during peak periods if you are on the unlimited plan.
