Default Movers

Has anyone had experience with a company called White Glove Moving based in NJ?
Are trying to decide between PODs and packing ourselves, or using a mover.

Default Pods

We just used 2 PODS a few weeks ago to move from PA to FL (just outside The Villages). It was a good experience. The guy who brought our PODS to our house from Ocala said that they are always in The Villages so it sounds like many others use them too. Good luck!

Movers cost about a grand more than pods. My opinion, it is money well spent to save yourself the time and effort of packing, loading, unloading and unpacking.

We used PODS. We did our own packing and hired professional loaders. $1000 or more seems to be what we saved.

Smile Moving by rental truck

We rented a 26 foot Budget truck, had some younger friends load it and drove it from MD. Cost was under $1500.00 and included, boxes, loading, fuel, truck for 7 days, unloading. The truck was tricky at first but most of the trip was on I-95 we tried to keep the stops to large truckstops and a motel with a large back parking area. We were going to tow a car behind but decided against it. We brought a lot and the truck was full. We then flew back to MD and closed on the sale there. Drove a car back the following week. I figured what we saved in the move would pay for new furniture.

I used Stevens Moving in Waldwick NJ and they did a great job in moving us to TV. They gave us a great price and delivered everything in great shape. I would use them again; but then again, I'll never need to. I'm not budging from TV.

Thank you all for the information. We have decided to go with PODS. Have help loading on this end, and family on The Villages end. Trying to consolidate. 2 days of a garage sale got rid of a lot of "stuff" Why oh why do we save all of this "stuff". The rest will be donated to a local charity.
Closing on our home her on 9/30. Happy to finally be Villagers. No more Jersey winters!!!!
