Angry Trouble AGAIN with LED Lights!!!!

3rd Time LED Lights aren't working properly on one of our carts. The company says it can not duplicate the problem. All of a sudden the LED lights start blinking on and off by themselves.

Past 2 times they they took it back said it was the fault of the rear back light or it was the fault of the turn signal stock. Each time they kept the cart for about a week. They say they replaced those 2 items and never charged us for the parts, except $60 MORE in labor! I wonder what they would say is wrong with my cart this time?

NEVER ever had the first problem with the cart and the "original" lights/wiring system until this company installed their LED Light strips. Each time they blamed it on the cart and say there is nothing wrong with the LED light strips they installed.

Well guess what! It has happened AGAIN!

We've really had it with this company! To top it off the last time they returned the cart, there were wires coming out from under the back tail lights that they did not put back properly where they belong.

Goldseekur,

I am a retired professional electrical engineer with extensive automotive background (I have rebuilt 7 cars from the ground up). I would be glad to take a look at your golf cart. I live in the village of Pinellas, and would like to have the cart here so I would have access to all of my tools. Send me a PM if you are interested. Also, let me know make, model, and year so I could see if I can find a wiring diagram.

I should have explained the reason I did not include the name of the company in the original post, but I had just gotten home in the cart and was somewhat angry to say the least.

I will not reveal the name of the company at this time as I have a dispute with the company over the "extra" charges on going with my credit card company. Once the issue is resolved, I will say who the company is and some of the OTHER issues that I had with this company.

Villagetinker, WOW, how nice of you to offer to check out our cart. I will send you the information. Thanks!

I may have already mentioned my problem in an earlier post. We had Battery Boys upgrade our batteries which involved a new battery tray. A month later we had Liquid Lughts install LED lighting. Subsequently we happened to turn on our headlights during a rain shower and discovered that we had a problem with our LEDs. To make a long story short, BBs had trapped a wire between the battery tray and the metal frame which shorted out when we turned on the headlights. It took a very determined LL tech to discover the problem and fix it for us. Obviously it was not LLs fault. If LLs is involved I'd be very surprised if they didn't fix the problem. It does take diligence and troubleshooting skill. Good luck.

That is really great that an independent person who may have the solution is willing to help. Take them out for breakfast or something.
Great offer from a very nice person. Probably should also name the company, they deserve the publicity????

Had LED issues also and Liquid Lights told me some of the problem, depending on who installs them is the beverage holder area leaks water directly onto all of the wiring underneath the tray. I have a Yamaha cart; maybe others are setup different. I give Liquid Lights a big thumbs up.

I would doubt it is Liquid Lights- those guys back up their work, and if they get stumped, they use a highly regarded Golf Cart Mechanic here in the villages.
