I think you should follow your gut feeling & stay away from this company. I'd at least check with Seniors vs Crime & the BBB.

If the guy treats you all like that now before he gets your $$, imagine what he might be like after he gets your $$, imagine what he'd be like if a problem with his work or finished product occurs.

Ignore all attempts at communication from him.

I have received a quote from hills for our new gardenia; am meeting with Brian Terry tomorrow. I will share results, if you'd like.

No knowledge of the company but you told me enough to look for a different vendor. Also I would not pay any vendor until the job was done.

I would be interested in what you find out as we too have a Gardenia.

Many thanks

We used Hill for our gutters back in February. We have a Gardenia and I believe the cost then was $525.

Trish,
Go with Hill's and you won't have any of these problems. Very professional and quality work completed on time as requested.

I have to second that. Hills did a great job at a fair price with no hassle.

The Update: I had previously contacted Hills based on TOTVer recommendations. I was set to accept their quote but I called Brian Terry Vinyl (the company has been doing subcontractor work on new TV homes for years) at the suggestion from one of TOTVs very popular and respected landscapers.

They quoted a price that was way outside of the ballpark. Robbie- the installer/estimator is a real nice, professional, pleasant person- stated that the company is just now expanding its business into retail work and alum gutters. I inferred that to be the reason of the high estimate.

Hills will install gutters all around our expanded Gardenia (front bedroom, lanai,
gcart garage forward) early this week. The quote was right at $600 and includes additional drainage work.
