Default Avoid Village Movers and Storage Ocala

We made arrangements far in advance for a small move yesterday within TV. Followed up a couple of days ago. We were given a window from 2-5. Didn’t show up. Shortly before 5 I called Nate and he said he would check with his guys and get right back to me. Never heard anything from anyone.

I know sometimes unplanned things arise. This total lack of communication is childish. When I make a mistake I own up to it and move on.

Don’t use these guys. Hopefully they will fail as they should and go away.

Default The Village Movers

Cannot recommend them any more. We used them when we moved in 2017, no problem. Recommended to my brother who used them in 2021, no problem. So, recommended them to my daughter early June, this year. What a mess. Their packing was terrible. Items mixed from various rooms, poorly labeled. A ceramic statue made by an artist from Africa not bubble wrapped ... they wrapped a few pieces of packing paper around it and put it in a box ... arrived damaged. Carelessly unloaded, damaged the siding of the house, and other issues. The net of it is, will no longer recommend them. Don't know if management changed or poor training or what. Sorry to see what was a good company become less that dependable; no quality.

tireed, Are you complaining about the company called "Village Movers?" Over the years there have been many complaints about them. And many compliments about their competitor, "Village Mover." The names are almost identical so they cause confusion. I don't have experience with either, because once we moved here, we've happily stayed put (so far).

The phone number for Village Movers (plural) apparently based in Ocala, is 352-502-6901. And the phone number for Village Mover (singular) with the black trailers owned by Mike Collop and based in Sumterville, is 352-751-2750.

Friends used Quality Movers. Our friends said Quality Movers were horrible. Didn't get a lot of detail other than, "Don't use Quality Movers" in The Villages.
