Default Where to buy custom banded area rugs?

I am so pleased with hardwood in our new home and would like to buy two area rugs made of real carpeting with two bands on the edges to echo the colors in those rooms. I also would like the back protected so as to not scratch the wood. I looked at one in the model and it has a smooth backing attached.

Can anyone tell me if they have found a place to buy these rugs that they think is good?

Default soo funny to me...

I remember an old post talking about flooring and you were soooo happy with carpetting in your house( your old house now). Do you remember? Then that sparked a debate about the types of flooring. Someone posted about cock roaches under the carpet and you screamed a huge eeeeeeyyyyyoooowwww!
Well, I guess you won't have to worry about that now, except remember someone talking about the termites and the wood floors??? Tooo funny. I am sooooo happy for you and now you are a frog.!!!! I am sure your house is wonderful!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!

I did love my carpeting. There are two kinds that come with any house here, the plush and the shag. We had the plush. I don't think cockroaches like to get under carpeting...I am a huge sceptic on that issue. Is sceptic spelled right? .. And I didn't expect to have wood floors but we didn't have an extra day to sit down and make our choices so we just said make it like the model and the model had wood floors. We had to get back North and empty out our house that had sold quicker than we thought it would.... I like our new floors very much, but I still like the beige plush carpeting. I do not want any termites to eat my floors and I hope they don't. I don't tend to worry about stuff like that.

And many MANY Thank yous for your kind wishes.

But anyone else have a place to buy area rugs made of carpeting? I like to compare prices because I am very frugal. Some say I am tight.

Can't recall the exact name... It's called Foxy Rugs (and something, perhaps "Furniture") Galleria. It's located out on 441 somewhere between Spanish Springs and Marion Market on the right side of the road. They sell area rugs, furniture, and accessories. Even if you wind up not buying anything there, it is a beautiful store and you will be drooling as you walk around looking at things there. We bought an area rug there.. You can have the Rug World people and the "Foxy" people compete with each other and see who will give you the best price. They are aware of each other and will try to outdo each other to give you a better price. Good luck!

Default area rugs

We also bought a small area rug at Foxy's Rug Galleria on 441. Phone 307-4510. Their ad in the phone books states they are 1.5 miles north of Walmart on 441,and it is not too far from Rt. 42 and 441.

We wanted a small round rug to fit under a table and we were able to choose the type, size, color and trim. It worked out very well.

Good luck and enjoy your new flooring!

In California, I had off-white rugs. I got this bug up my rear that I wanted solid, navy blue area rugs in varying sizes. I went to a carpet store, found the exact color and plush I wanted. They cut them to my specifications and finished the the trim the way I wanted. So, I'd suggest you try something like Floor Masters.

Default Rugs

Graciegirl....you might have luck at Pier One in the Target shopping center. They have a small selection but it might be what you are looking for.
