Where to buy gift certificate for palm tree?
Which nursery would be the best to purchase a gift certificate for a palm tree, including planting? This would be a Christmas gift. Thank you!

IMHO bad move
They are a maintenance nightmare....Tree groups prey on people with palms....I know they are a Florida symbol but I would advise rethinking that gift certificate....Again just my opinion and experience!

We talked extensively with three nurseries when shopping for our palm:
Fairfield Farms Terra Nova The Village Palms They all offer quality stock that you can see, all have decent warranties on their palms, provide installation and all have gift certificates available. They are knowledgeable and will offer the pros and cons of each variety. They have all been around a very long time and love what they do. The nice thing about these nurseries is that, should your recipient decide a palm won't work after all, there will be an abundance of other things to choose from. I think your idea is lovely! |

Uptown Girl, Which nursery has the most palms from which to chose? I am leaning toward Fairfield, but want the best selection.

We like Terrascape. They have a huge acreage on CR 301 with every palm imaginable. Bonnie, the Nursery Manager, is fabulous!

Ooops... I meant Terrascape (mentioned by barefoot) not Terra Nova.
All have good inventory and numerous variety. They all seem to replenish their supply as space permits. You can walk around on your own, or any of the nurseries will gladly take you around on a golf car, answering any questions you may have. I liked going to all three.... and found no conflicting information between them. One thing they all do is price by how many feet of trunk each tree has. In the end, once we decided the variety we wanted, we chose the nursery that had the most perfect specimen at that time. I really liked hand picking the exact one I wanted. |
