Default Who is the most reliable Internet Provider

Just moving to the villages between 466 and 466A. Need to set up internet service and looking for opinions on who is the most reliable service (few outages and responsive).

If you can get it.................Spectrum is the best.

Even when the neighbor's construction project cuts the line......they put a priority request in and there are out asap.

OP, you need to determine WHO is available in the area where you are going to move, not all providers are available in all areas. Since I do not live in that area, I cannot help. It might also be helpful if you provide the exact village, this way you will get specific answers to your questions.
As for Comcast (which I have), they were reasonable (for my issues) until the virus hit, all stores closed and very hard to get an actual person on the line to talk to and answer questions....

I have had both Century Link and Comcast. No real trouble with either one, but prefer wifi with comcast, never goes out. Whereas I had Direct Satellite with Century Link and it went down all the time in bad weather, very annoying.

Since we will also eventually be purchasing a home between 466 and 466A, am very interested to hear everyone's opinion.

Going by one post though, it sounds like there may be only one choice in some areas?

Does anyone know of a map that exists, that shows available providers (by village or geographic area) between 466 and 466A?

We are between 466A and 44 and have Spectrum for the last 5 years, no issues. What is interesting is we have neighbors with Comcast and have had several outages or reduction in speed. No contract with Spectrum and there will be changes when their Comcast contract is up. Spectrum customer service has always been responsive but like Comcast they raise the prices each year then you call and they lower them. Still don't understand that model but seems the way it's done.

We have had xfinity since we moved here in Feb and happy with them for internet, cable and phone service.

Before we moved got the names of the companies who serviced the area and was surprised to find out that each area can have different providers.

While there were problems with Comcast years ago, I haven't had any recently, at least for three years.

Default Just switched to Spectrum

I had Xfinity for 1 year. There new account offer was too hard to pass up Normally $50 per month only $20 for the first year.

My issue was their upload speeds were extremely slow. I upload a lot of YouTube videos and it took hours to upload. The speed was only 2Mpbs.

For $50 a month Spectrum offered 100 on the download and 10 on the upload.

I am not aware of any maps showing which service providers service which areas. You can go onto most of the service provider websites, act as though you are setting up service with them by entering your address, and You’ll find out if they service your area and what plans/costs/speeds they offer.

I wish these providers could be made to be consistent with their services across the area. We have Xifinity but their first yr was $40/mo. and then they raised it to $73/mo. It took me months to get in touch with anyone and then I was sold a "Flex voice" option only to find out that I can't get local channels. After more frustrating attempts to get someone in customer service, found out they weren't giving me the $10/mo. credit for auto payments. Got that resolved but not using their flex voice option. Service has been great as far as outage, 100 MBS download but upload never gets above 6 MBS and it takes a long time to upload video or multiple pics. I would still recommend them in spite of the lack of customer service.
