Default Wind Mitigation

Does anyone have a suggestion for whom to get to do a wind mitigation on a new roof to get a reduction on my insurance policy. Thank you.

We used our home inspector, imagine they would all do it.

I would ask your insurance company...or the broker...who they recommend. Our broker gave us a name to use when we bought, and he was very reasonable for the money we saved on premiums. It's also possible the insurance company has their own person.

What, exactly, does wind mitigation entail?

just by telling your insurance company the age of your home and that you have a 'hip roof' on all four sides should be adequate enough

When we were in Ft Lauderdale the insurance company sent a fellow over to look and approve the discount

Check with your insurance company first. I called mine and was already getting a wind mitigation credit, so no need to get someone to do a report.
