Default Need wire shelving removed from pantry and replaced with wooden shelves.

The wire shelving in our pantry after 12 years is beginning to sag.
We have already had a couple of the supports pull out of the sheet rock.
Just need some simple, utilitarian, shelves....no fancy finishing or mill work required.
I an interested in handy men or craftsmen that have done work like thins. Or even a do it yourself recommendation.

Wood shelving may have the same problem. I would try and see if those with wood shelves have the same problem. How long is your shelf? How wide? About how much weight do you have on it. I have wire shelves that are 8 to 10 feet long and are packed. Not sure of the weight but probably 50 to 100 pounds per shelf. Probably two feet wide. In the middle of the shelf (length wise) is a support that goes from the floor to the ceiling. The front of each shelf fits into this support. If you do not have a support this might solve your problem.

Maybe the supports that pulled out were not put into the studs? Where the support pulled out see if you can tell if a stud is present. If it is not then I would reinstall the support using a stud to screw into or a moly bolt.

My preference is for metal shelves.
